Gareth Genner CEO & Founder of Great Teachers' Academy

Gareth N. Genner has over thirty years experience of educational governance and administration. In his ten years as the Managing Director of Independent School Counsel, Gareth worked with schools throughout the southeastern United States in areas of planning, funding, governance and program design. During that time, Gareth also served as educational advisor to the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta and educational counsel to numerous accreditation and educational organizations. As a school President for 8-years, Gareth guided the school he led to triple accreditation, a US Department of Education Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence and a consistent rating as a one of the Top-50 Catholic High School in the United States. Gareth serves on the Advisory Board of the National Catholic Honor Roll and as Chancellor of Holy Spirit College.

Mike Davis Executive Director of 21st Century STEM Academy

Mike Davis is an alumnus of The Broad Residency in Urban Education. He is currently the Executive Director and Co-founder of 21st Century STEM Academy. Most recently, Mr. Davis was Vice President of Business Partnerships for ZippSlip, a tool to enhance parent-teacher communication and engagement. Previously, Mr. Davis served as Executive Director of Talent Management for Fulton County Schools (FCS), where he was responsible for principal recruitment and hiring. He also served as Chief of Staff for FCS. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Davis held various leadership positions with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), including special assistant to the superintendent, where he provided counsel on education policy and national education reform initiatives. Prior to that role, he managed the design and implementation of a performance management data system and the development of the district’s accountability system. Before joining CMS, Mr. Davis was a recruitment director with Teach For America. Mr. Davis began his professional career with SmithKline Beecham as a pharmaceutical consultant. He is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Morehouse College.
